Dr. Jart Shake and Shot Rubber Mask Review

29633762_10213575330230397_1283129067_o.jpgI’m all for trying new things when it comes to skin care and the minute I laid my eyes on the Dr. Jart Shake & Shot™ Rubber Masks I knew I had to try it.

I have been a long time fan of Dr, Jart skin care so I had an idea that I would like this mask. It’s such a different concept-DIY rubber mask to leave you dewy and brightened.

The mask is made of a two-part mixture and when combined becomes a rubber like consistency that is very popular in Korean spas. Step 1 was a thick white gooey consistency and Step 2 was a liquid and smelled amazing like citrus (it does contain vitamin C and buckthorn fruit extract.)

You shake and have 2-3 minutes to apply the mixture to the face with the spatula provided before it solidifies. You’re instructed to apply an even layer-not sure how that’s possible. You can tell how good of a job I did.

I looked horrifying after I was done applying this. Almost like a melted wax monster. After the mask was dried I was able to peel the mask off pretty easily and left with very dewy skin. Then I followed with my normal skin routine.

No it’s not the best picture but look at that glow.

THOUGHTS

My skin felt amazing! For reference my skin is combo oily and I had the feeling of hydrated skin. As for appearance I’m not sure how brightened I looked after the fact but my skin feels great! There was plenty of product left in the container after applying everything on my face. I wish there was a way to save the mask. Maybe I would’ve mixed half parts of the mixture and saved the rest. For $12 as a one time use product it does seem like a bit. I think it’s a lot for the novelty but it’s much better than a $100 face mask. If you have a buddy I think this is something that could be fun to try together.

Love, Aiko
