Social Media Tools of the Trade

I have been asked time and time again about how am I able to keep up with my social media presence. During my career I’ve discovered a number of tool that have made my life significantly easier to manage.

Buffer

It’s a user-friendly dashboard that you can use to plan out your social media post. This is the one I recommend the most because their free plan is perfect for anyone starting out. You can connect up to 3 social accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc) and can schedule up to 10 post at a time.

Depending on your needs, you can always upgrade to a paid plan that offers more features. Buffer is fantastic I used it in my personal and professional account management for work.

Planoly

This service allows you to plan, edit and post from your phone or desktop. The drag and drop feature is great to organize the look of your feed. It has so many amazing features: schedule posts, research hashtags, stock photo library and much more!

Another bonus to Planoly is the newsletter they send out. They have articles from pros in the industry showing you how to optimize Planoly in your business. Check out the blog-it’s a goldmine of knowledge!

Canva

Designing made easy! Canva is amazing if you’re not a design wiz or need something user friendly this site is for you. It’s a drag and drop format that makes designing simple. It’s complete with templates, fonts, graphics and stock photos to choose from.

Many of my post for work are made with Canva, it’s also great for creating Instagram highlights.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned when it comes to the Social Media game is automation. Being able to automate my posts has freed up much of my time. Along with making beautiful graphics. I hope these tools help you as they have helped me!
